Option to prioritize display of username instead of server nickname

I tried to look over the different posts and didn't manage to find similar post, sorry if I missed it !

I recently joined a new server where there are several friend of mine. The problem though is that in this specific server they all use nicknames and it's a nightmare to find out who's who when I already know most of their usernames.

So... I would like to be able to disable the display of nicknames and juste have the usernames of the other users.

I only found mod's settings to allow or forbid use of nicknames but nothing to just don't be bothered with it as a fellow user of the server.

  yeah i can get behind that. 
  
  some people use different names in different servers... 
  
  so a toggable switch of " never show nicknames" would be cool.
