Feature Request - Disable Custom Profile Pictures
Hi, Discord community! This is a request I've had for a long time.
Some of my friends and servermates sometimes have... let's say NSFW profile pics. I (and others) don't always want to see that, and it can become an issue if we're trying to get non-internet-surfer introduced to Discord and the first thing they see is a very NSFW profile pic.
I'd like the option to replace custom profile pics with simply the default profile pic. Like under the Appearance settings, there could be a toggle to "Allow Custom Profile Pictures" or "Don't Allow Custom Profile Pictures" that worked on the user side to change profile pictures. If you set it to "Don't", for example, my profile picture wouldn't show a Rowlet, it would show a default "A" icon if you were in a server with me.
I was thinking this could be a universal toggle thing, but it could also be implemented per-person. Don't like someone's PFP? Turn off their PFP so it's replaced with a default icon!
I hope that as Discord expands, we who are a bit less tolerant of NSFW/risque content could have this option. It will make showing Discord to new people easier! Discord is already great about content blocking options, but I feel like this lack of PFP options is a weak link in the chain.
