Slash commands UI shake

This is just a really personal gripe, because I'm sure most people don't do this, but I no longer have the ability to use "made-up" slash "commands" in Discord. Things like /gurgles, or /yells into the void. I use these a LOT to express myself, and today all I'm getting for any of them is the entire UI shaking. A friend tells me it's because of the actual slash commands, but a few months ago Discord started doing this BUT if I waited a second or two it would then send just fine. Clearly something has changed, and I'll adjust, because what choice do I have, but I'm not a fan. :(
