Various QoL Improvements
- Events needs some serious help:
1. Text in the "Description" box on mobile is broken and only allows about 200 characters
2. There's no way to change an event start time that's already started (in case of a delay) meaning you have to create a whole new event.
3. Upcoming events just shows "3 Events" in Discord. Can we have the option to show the title of the events underneath like threads appear, or just a subtitle that lists them all?
4. Using a #text-channel for the location doesn't give the Discord clickable link for people.
5. Need a countdown timer for when the event starts/ends: 6H 34Min 35Sec until event starts! - We need Colored Categories! All this gray and white text in the channel lists is boring and hard to visually separate. Also, Colored Role Titles in the people list.
- We need the ability to visually silence a channel as well. If someone @mentions you on a channel that you have selected "Nothing", and "Mute Channel", you still get the "1" pending unread notification.
- Discord themes! For Christmas time, deck out the Discord UI with Christmas lights and tinsel around the borders. For Halloween, random bat flying around every once in a while, and cobwebs everywhere!
- Some people prefer not to allow users to post Discord invite links, discord.gg. But this is also the address for people sharing event calendars and bots are not discerning the difference.
- Channel Topics should allow hyperlinks and Discord #channel links to be clickable.
- Let us customize the top of channels! "Welcome to #new-text channel!" on every channel is boring. And also, the Channel Topics always starts with "This is the start of the #new-text channel."
- Allow roles where people can edit other people's messages.
- Create a new type of channel for information. Info channels don't need to be time stamped or follow a sequential order. Allow inserting/moving messages around in these channels.
That's it for now. I'll have some more ideas later. Thanks for reading this far down. UPVOTE!!!!!!!
