Why send me by force to the new messages when I'm reading older messages (30 minutes old) in a channel ?

Why send me by force to the new messages when I'm reading older messages (30 minutes old) in a channel ?

When your thing trigger I have to scroll back to the old messages I was reading.

Moreover now I feel I have to rush, and I don't read very closely like I used to do. I skip technical things cause I know I won't have the time to read and understand them before I'm sent back to the new messages.

I already had the possibility to go to the new messages by clicking on a usefull button, so why FORCE me to do so when I'm not clicking on that button ?

Anyway I don't get why you implement such useless features that make people loose their time. Like discord is a chat application not a video game where I need to speedrun the talks with my friends.
