Awful garbage rebranding- childish and unwelcome
Well over 100 members of my server have all discussed this update and the result is clear: we all dislike the new logo and color
-> The WORST is the new font, it is awful in all senses. It feels childish and isn't as easy to read anymore.
-> New reactions are ugly
-> The new color is not as welcoming as it was before
-> Every single change made is so hated they all want whoever who agreed to change it to be fired and burn in hell
-> All my meme channels are about how bad this rebranding is
-> If discord has so much as little appreciation for their users of 5 years +, they would consider that they have MOST LIKELY failed their goal with this update.
How do you expect people to chat on a platform that they do not feel comfortable with anymore, especially if the FONTS of the text are not welcome.

I agree literally only a very few amount of people like or even consider the new logo but I don't hope it gets changed back soon worst update probably :/ ALSO WUMPUS :<

I agree with this. I don't mind the logo but that font is absolute crap. Hope this gets rolled back.

Not only does it look like someone took marshmallows and stuffed them in pipelines, it's also not aligned properly.

Lets just revert back to the regular logo and font, and forget this ever happened.

Yeah and maybe Clyde wasn't perfectly symmetrical but he was unique and not corporate, he felt original and stylized. Imperfect but perfect for us who saw that and knew he was there for us, I miss the old UI color scheme and I miss OG Clyde. I also truly hate how on desktop when you @ someone in a discord it is now white, I would like the role color to be there please, alot of servers have recognition for backers and taking that away was quite mean.

This whole update needs to go, the logo, the reactions, the pings, the new Clyde, it just... isn't Discord. I don't mind the slightly darker Blurple, but also a thing I wouldn't have changed. Discord focus on actual good stream quality instead of new logos that aren't needed.

this whole minimalist trend that companies are participating in is bs, dude. it's almost as if they want to make their brand look as bland and unoriginal as possible I mean just look at petco and pringles, their logos were fine just the way they were but yet they still went ahead with the dull and boring logo change. it's just plain nonsense, man

Agreed. With the more darker blurple, the unread messages status stands out way more than the messages you are trying to catch up on, and is overall just aggressive.
I can stand the change in Clyde, it wasn't something I saw as a major change, and for merch purposes, I suppose I can get behind that.
The reacts just makes me feel like I'm a new person to discord who apparently cannot figure out where I was supposed to click to react. Hate that I feel like I'm being babied with the reacts. Mentions just feels off, but I suppose I can understand if someone has a super dark role color?
Hate the new font. Nope. There's too much silly memory with the old font, and I feel like something should stay in order to kinda let the older people say "yeah I remember when that was started, and this was a gamers group thing"

If it doesn't revert to the older look, I'm quiting Discord for good. Horrible way to celebrate 6 years of your own platform.

I've been using Discord for 5 years, they had the branding perfect, with no reason to change it.

I'm in full agreement. The new look is absolute garbage.
Asking "in what way" won't help btw - just bring back the old one. It wasn't broken, it didn't need fixing.

Even with sneak peaks and being aware that no one would like it, I don't understand why even go through with it? The only thing that is alright, imo, is the reactions. It's way harder on my eyes with the new "eye-sore blue" (I refuse to call it blurple) and new reactions, but well, Discord becoming big tech so they had to whip out the starterpack I guess. Bet if you actually asked the community, you'd find most people are displeased and would rather keep it pre-rebrand. Discord is losing it's "uniqueness" factor, this update did nothing but make it blend in with every other app to exist. Maybe start actually listening to community feedback that's upvoted while you're at it :O :galaxybrain:

The rebrand made Discord "kid-friendly" than before.
The new color palette is unsettling for the eyes.

100% agreed. You can't just take out the mascot of the app and expect nothing to happen. Everything looks absolutely terrible. It's all awful. Nothing needed to be changed. It was all perfectly fine. Please, bring the old discord that we all know and love, back.
