Problem with using same number for different account

This whole verification by phone thing is really troublesome for me. When I log into my alternate account on my phone, discord detects something out of the ordinary and wants me to verify my account by phone. When I try to do that, the system tells me that 'This phone number was recently used on a different account' and logs me out of both my accounts. This is a response from a discord staff member: "Otherwise, if you have recently attempted to verify this number already, our system will put a timeout on a number from being used again for anti-abuse purposes, and unfortunately, you will need to wait for the end of the timeout to use the number once more or use a different number to verify the account. Sadly, because the system automatically detects and generates a timeout period when a phone number has been used multiple times to verify an account, there is no exact ETA for when the number will be able to used to verify another account." Because of this, I have to end up waiting multiple days to get access to my account again and the random timeout period with no ETA just makes things worse. I just want to be able to access my account as soon as possible. 🙏

    i hate this dude. i have so many friends on there, i hope i get my account back. i really do. i would be so upset to loose all of those friendships that ive worked hard for.

    It just happened to me too, I already got 30 something notifications. and I gotta wait 2 days to a week?? Discord has to do something about this. I deleted the account that I didnt need, Discord still doesnt work. this is so annoying

    Do you know how much timeout do you have to wait mostly, because it is really troublesome and I hate it. This is the first time it happened to me.

    the fact i purchased discord nitro and lost my account for the same reason really made me upset. i was actually allowed to buy nitro for a christmas gift and seeing that i lost an account i used for 1 year and having nitro, and a lot of friends really makes me mad. i really want my account back, i emailed discord 2 times about it. same c&p msg, plus i lost all of my alternates (i had 3) and now i need to wait? i never even violated the ToS, i was just about to go to sleep so while i was saying goodnight to my friends i got logged out, so i tried my alts and got logged out. now i cannot sleep at all. being on discord is like my dream life
