"Claim your nitro" bot scam
So, i got this DM from a bot called "Claim your nitro" bot which told me that i could get free nitro by clicking a "link" to accept and add the bot. This bot is obviously a scam which needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. This bot is not a ip logger its basically a server nuker.

if its called spambot or anything like that its deleted and dealt with. and its been getting out of hand, also ive gotten a Members+ message which is a fake one talking about some boosts on the server.

Yeah i also got the claim your gift tm. I created an empty server just to see what it does? Nothing nada. I assum it is a scam of course as i suspected unless it isnt but idk

btw i'm pretty sure all it does is send a spam message to the people in the server

Same situation, different account (seems they are making new accounts every time a new one gets shut down or censored). The one that hit me had the display name & ID of © Claim Your Nitro#8054.
Of course only being a month, I didn't really intend on claiming it anyways, but having experience as a Computer Technician, knowing the magnitude of those with malicious intent (and the many different methods of phishing account information, as well as through various forms of malware) & being a constant target of phone, email & messenger scams/extortion attempts, I chose to do my research on it before going any further (originally seeing the message on my Android), this thread was at the top of the search results. I'll be making a couple publications about this as well to warn people about it, on Facebook, my own Discord server & on my Twitch blog, giving reference to this thread so they also have a means to report it if they receive one of these messages.

Yes, Indeed it is a scam, I made the stupid mistake of clicking and adding, so anyone got tips on what to do after I made that mistake, I quickly kicked it from my servers and now I need to ban it. (Claim Your Nitro ©#6897)

Simply block the account & delete the discussion (Discord doesn't offer a report function in the client yet, at least not as far as I can see), you'll probably get repeat attempts from other accounts as they create more, just make sure you don't click on that link, it gives them admin privs to your server, they could potentially delete/steal it at that point.
EDIT: Also take note of the display name & account ID if you want to report that account. Regardless of how you look at it, this isn't going to stop any time soon because they have been successful in these attempts (might be a fraction of what they send out, but they have gotten people to fall for it), Discord will likely need to put something into effect to stop them from being made or auto-suspend them when this crap is detected.
