I am an Iranian user and I have been using Discord for a long time.

We, The people of Iran, Are not terrorists and the actions of the Irans government are not related to the people of Iran

    Please do not ban us Iranians. Discord was the best program I had ever seen .. but you are banning us 🤐 We Iranians are many and many have servers for themselves. My server will be down soon 😥.
    We do not have YouTube, Twitter, facebook, Telegram, and a few other programs ...
    That's why we connect to a VPN to go somewhere on the Internet 😞

    I do not know what to say anymore ... (vote to save us iran)

    I am originally from IRAN, I came to Canada three years ago and I was not able to see parents who are senior people and my family during this time. I plan to go to my country after three years and celebrate the Persian New Year which is 21 March with them. My company allowed me to work remotely for a while from Iran while we use discord for our daily meetings and communication.

    When I heard that you are going to ban Iran from using the discord in March, tears came to my eyes. You are destroying my trip, seeing my senior parents who are already waiting to see me after three years. My mother has no idea about discord but when I call her she keeps saying she is praying that you don’t apply restrictions.

    I understand that you are doing these restrictions to support humanity and to not support the terrorists who kill people but YOU ARE indirectly KILLING the people’s feelings, making the people’s lives harder. How could you do that? How could you mess up your good services with politics? How you could apply this limitation for us without any solid investigation? We, the people of Iran, ARE NOT TERRORISTS. WE ARE NOT TERRORISTS.

    I've been using discord since 2018...

     

    Communication is one of the biggest parts of people's life these days, and when it comes to communicating there is one name that is heard a lot, and that name is Discord.

    Discord is a platform for communication between people, gamers, streamers, students, etc. it's one of the biggest parts of people's lives and it does a great job of connecting and helping them interact with each other. Before this Discord policy update, people could gather from all around the world and share their good memories, funny moments, events, etc, and it didn't matter where they were from which brings us to this new discord policy. It is worth mentioning that many servers do announce educational activities.

    In those countries that Discord has mentioned in the updated policy, people have no freedom of speech in their own country and they can't share opinions so they got nothing to do with terrorism or any other governmental actions, but they have found their voice in Discord. these governments are happy about this new discord policy because they want to block people's communications and they don't use discord, only normal people use discord so blocking these people will not affect governments or any terroristic activities.

    the main purpose of this petition is to sincerely request Discord to review their decision because there is no reason to ban normal people due to their country's governmental problems. lots of admins will be unemployed, various huge communities will drift apart, many hard efforts will be destroyed. There’s strength in our words and power in our voice, reconsider silencing us as humans.

    this petition is started by a big community of Iranian Discord users to show how banning will negatively affect Discord users' lives.

    Communication is apart from politics, easy communication is a part of freedom.

    "We are not terrorists, only humans."

    We have always paid for things, which weren't our business.
    The political situations are not related to us. Discord used to be the best communication service for our gamers and made us keep in touch during the pandamic.
    Humans are same.

    yes, I accept that iranian's GOVERMENT  are terrorrists, but if u ban discord for us, the goverment wont loss anything, thats the poor iranian people who will lose one of their limited funs

    The clause is required for US Based companies. So, saying things here is practically useless. Discord can't do anything about this.
