Why does discord randomly become very loud?
So if I'm in a voice chat it seems at random everyone and every discord notification will basically destroy my ears. At first everything will be fine an at the normal volume I set, but out of no where everything goes to max volume and it doesn't fix itself until I leave VC and join back.

Yeah I knew about this problem like 4 years ago, but being the dumbass I am I decided to reinstall razer synapse. Low and behold the same problem reappeared. No problemo right? uninstall synapse. Nope. Even after uninstalling it and removing my headset through the device manager the problem still exits. Wat do?

I have the same problem, but I'm using Kraken USB. Reconnecting to channel doesn't work anymore, I need to replug my headset multipile times. Also I'm using Synapse 2.0 because 3.0 doesn't support half of my gear.

I have the Razer Man-O-War Wireless headset as well. I also use the Razer Synapse 2.0. I have a setting in my Realtek Audio called Loudness Equalization ENABLED. In lay-terms, this compresses low and high volume (db) sounds, and makes them meet in the middle - a bit.
In my Razer Synapse settings I HAD, under AUDIO, a setting called Sound Normalization ENABLED. This will monitor "the audio and reduce(s) the variation of loudness by adjusting the frequency levels".
I DISABLED the Sound Normalization and did not have one problem in Discord this evening.
Could a couple of you try this, and confirm that this setting is the culprit? Thanks!

oke i may have found the fix for this yes its Synapse but its a part of Synapse
go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer
my headset is the Razer_ManOWar_Driver folder
go in your driver folder for your headset so me the its here
C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Razer_ManOWar_Driver\Drivers\SysAudio
ManOWarHelper.exe look for it in task manager and end the task/processes
go back to the folder and rename it to ManOWarHelperold.exe
if you can not rename it try closing Synapse

also a fix seems to be uninstalling Synapse 2 and never use it again
but if you that
1 your sound is gone sound bad
2 your mic is gone sound bad in voice chat or really really quiet...
the problem seems to razer synapse2 suround 7.1
also synapse2 is also really bad wen you change volume cpu can go from 1% to 40%-90% the system wil lag like crazy why this happens no idea all i know is that synapse does not like volume change's 1 in windows or on the headset it self
the synapse processe is gone put a crazy load on the cpu wen you do this just goes to show how bad razer software is and the products
mise keyboards all seems to have a problem at some point headsets are the worst
think most of this can be avoided if razer just start using onboard memory on the devices and only need to software to set it up once
my main problem i'm still using a razer headset... can't find anything that is comfi on my head + my glass's
to be clear i do not hate razer pproducts from all i know and thing is had to fix or get around somehow its not but a pain in the ass and bad products desine
razer synapse 3 is not making any progress also.
so thats no help on old and new devise don't work if 1 is on synapse 2 and the other on 3 as you can only have 1 synapse running
and helping friends with all diffrent razer products and synapse 2 or 3 its a MESS
my advice stop buying razer products yes you have seen this a lot on the internet and yes some just call it razer haters but thats not it at all open your eyes

after some more testing again for the 20 time trying to fix...
only fix is to not use synapse 2
so bad sound and mic GG razer... some recommend me a headset that is wireless and does not need software

Can confirm, after getting a new headset and finally rid my computer of all razer related software, the issue is gone. Razer synapse is the cause of this issue.

After learning that ... I found it is NOT Raxer, RATHER, Discord trying to take over EVERYTHING!
Discord, tries to play with the mic input and voume, yet Razer does not!
THIS IS A DISCORD ISSUE, NOT A RAZER ONE!
