Discord Account Appeals (What you need to know)
Discord Account Appeals Process (everything you need to know)
If you find your Discord account disabled or banned and believe it was done in error, you can submit an account appeal to request a review of your case. Discord's account appeal process is designed to give users a chance to explain their situation and potentially have their accounts reinstated. Here's a detailed explanation of how the process typically works after submitting an appeal:
Step 1: Await Response: After you've submitted the account appeal form, you'll have to wait for Discord's support team to review your case. Response times may vary depending on the volume of appeals they receive, but it's essential to be patient. Avoid submitting multiple appeals, as it can slow down the process and may even harm your chances of a successful resolution.
Step 2: Discord Support Team Review: The Discord support team will assess your appeal and investigate your account's history and the reason for the ban. They may also consider your previous interactions and reports, as well as any relevant evidence you provided in the appeal form.
Step 3: Decision and Communication: After their review, Discord's support team will reach a decision on your appeal. If they find that the ban was unwarranted, they will reinstate your account. However, if they determine the ban was justified, your account will remain disabled, and there may be no further appeal options available.
Step 4: Acceptance or Further Action: If your account appeal is successful, you'll receive a notification or email confirming your account's reinstatement. You'll then be able to log back into Discord using your account as usual. If your appeal is denied, there might not be any further recourse, and you'll have to respect the decision and abide by Discord's rules and guidelines going forward.
Important Tips:
- Always be respectful and courteous in your communication with Discord's support team.
- Avoid creating multiple tickets as an attempt to speed up the appeal process, doing so will only slow it down.
- If you believe you were falsely reported or targeted by others, mention that in your appeal with any supporting evidence. (i.e. mass reported)
Remember that the appeal process is not guaranteed to result in the reinstatement of your account, but it's a fair opportunity to present your case to Discord's support team for review.
Hopefully this article answers any questions or concerns users have on how the appeal system works! I have noticed a severe spike in forum posts being created regarding account appeals, therefore I created this article to answer all FAQ on this topic.
Best of luck with your accounts, hoping for a positive outcome!
Best Regards, Haunt

Hello my account was suspended for being underage when its not and they said I can appeal if I send a pic of my face with ID and discord name which I did and its almost going into 2 weeks since I have sent it and they have not emailed me back and I am worried that my account will be deleted.
The account is called “Ponely” can you please look into it?

how long will it usually take for an answer?

It has been a month since I have sent an appeal request, I had sent one with my username being incorrect (they were asking for the username with digits and not the newer ones) and they had responded within 4 days, yet after rectifying my mistake I had no 1nswers in 2 weeks sent another request and still nothing, I do not understand the inconsistency between the two periods, maybe they lost my request? if they did they should have made something to inform us in some way, and it being that common is also unlikely.

Greetings Haunt,
I'm currently in the process of what may be a Tos/Bug, I say this because I initiated in a cleanup process in the past, and discord had no issue, but now that I'm doing cleanup again, all of a sudden my accounts disabled.
I reviewed what Tos MAY have set off, it makes sense, and at the same time, it doesn't, due to the unique situation which is my situation. Rule 13 if your curious is what was set off, and I'm assuming this may be a bug or miscalculation in any algorithm's that conduct spam monitoring. For more context, I have two accounts, one is my main and the other is a backup in case of any potential hacking or hijacking. And a “Cleanup Process” is me transferring photos from my camera roll to my PC because Apple and Windows don't get along and anything transferred from apple to windows results in photo corruption, which has resulted in me transferring photos via discord, because for some reason I'm able to skip photo corruption that way.
This is the reason I'm chalking it up to a Tos/Bug because it would still be classified as spam, but between both accounts, which I own, so it isn't unsolicited as is defined in rule 13. Which leaves me to reason that my cleanup efficiency is…well…TOO…efficient and that Ill just have to slow down on the cleanup somehow…despite needing to go through almost 5000 potential photos -_-;
I currently don't know what else I can add, this is a silly problem, I will be following the due process, but if there's any way to leave a note or something to who does this process id appreciate it. If you need to ask further questions, go ahead, I'm kind of not going anywhere.

Hello Haunt
I was my account was permanently suspended because i was in a server that it said to break discord’s rules of violent extremism. I don’t have problem with shutting such server but the thing is i didn’t know what was happening in the server i wasn’t even active in discord when this happened due to exams when i logged i was surprised that i was permanently suspended from the app when i asked my friend in instagram about this he told me that owners sold the server to other people amd they turned it into racism extreme server , he left the server and tried telling me but as i said before i wasn’t active at the time. Do you think discord will get my account back i reached for support after a week after this happened, i really want my discord account back i got so many servers and friends and i can’t remember their username to friend them again. And i didn’t do anything bad since i created the account until now it’s really unfair.

I was banned because I said I was 12 purely as a joke, and now I'm locked out of my account with no ID to verify my age,I've appealed my ban by taking a photo with my face and me holding up a piece of paper with my username (the new ones not the ones with tags as because now i have no way of checking my old username) and dob wrote down.i just need a 1-1 conversation with a real person from discord and not an automated bot

I've been banned for a month as of now, I've gotten NO RESPONSE AT ALL and my account is on the verge of deletion
I was banned for being “underage” and have sent everyting that was requested, my ID, my face, and a paper showing my discord username and I've gotten still NO RESPONSE
I was told it would be 2-3 weeks for a response, it's been over 4 now.
What the heck guys?2 -
My discord account was disabled at 9 June 2024 and its because it says that i was underage, but discord is from 13 years old and I am 15, I've submitted multiple tickets but haven't gotten any answers why was it accused of this. Could I get an answer why does that happen? (also i created my account around 2021 if that helps)

hi Haunt,
4 days ago my account was disabled for “violating discord tos” however i have been on holiday since the 12th, (I live in York) and I was looking through my emails because I'm waiting on a job application and saw that my discord account has been disabled. However I haven't been on my account since I went on holiday? I have no other infractions and don't know why it's been disabled. Any ideas on how i can help support my case?

About a week ago, I fell victim to a "try my game" scam that led to my Discord account being hijacked through token logging.
It all started around 2 AM when I downloaded the game. Almost immediately, it crashed my Discord and logged me out. I logged back in without any issues and continued using my account for the rest of the night. It wasn’t until around 10 AM the next morning that I realized I no longer had access to my account.
I wasted no time and immediately opened a support ticket
Over the next few days, I learned that I had been a victim of something called "token logging," a term I was unfamiliar with until this happened. There was also the possibility that the scammer might have accessed my saved Google passwords, but there was no way to confirm it.
In the meantime, I was using an alternate account that had my main account on its friend list. Just a day after the hack, the scammer contacted me through my original account. We exchanged a few messages where he tried to extort me, claiming he would return the account if I paid him. Knowing this was a scam, I played along and stalled. I eventually spam-called him, and to my surprise, he answered.
What followed was wild. He shared his screen, showing me a Discord server where he was logged in on his own account, along with three other people. He had my account open in a browser tab and was using a bot called "Epsilon bot" that had stored all my personal information and that of other victims. This included my Minecraft login, Twitter account, and everything else saved in Google passwords. The bot had collected session IDs, cookies, autofills—basically everything. This confirmed my suspicion that my Google passwords had been compromised. He also had my IP address, real name, email addresses, and more personal information. Then, he threatened to leak everything on DoxBin if I didn’t pay him.
I left the call shortly after, but for the next week, he relentlessly spammed me, messaging me almost every hour with threats like:
"so?"
"@(pings me)"
"respond or byeeee"
“bro, respond bro”
"if you don't respond, I will delete the account"-
All in broken English, threatening to delete my account if I didn’t respond within his made-up time limits. Meanwhile, Discord support was radio silent. I only got one response from an agent saying they had forwarded my case to the Trust & Safety team, but after that—nothing. I tried reaching out on Twitter and commenting on their posts, but I didn’t get a single response from any platform. It’s been a month now, and someone is using my original account as if it were theirs. I’ve been on Discord for almost seven years, and losing this account has been devastating. I was also a Nitro subscriber at the time of the hack. Seeing so many years of conversations, friends, and memories disappear like that is heartbreaking. To think that a stranger now has access to all my private chats is just insane. I’ve lost access to my servers, saved GIFs, pinned messages, and so much more.

Hi Haunt,
I tried to make an appeal but didn't see the email on what to do to appeal and put the first one under the wrong category and didn't attach an ID. I didn't know at the time that I could log in and add on to an appeal, so I made another. When I found out how to add more to an appeal, I made a comment asking for them to close the first one, and they marked it as solved. So now I only have 1 open appeal ticket, but I am concerned they won't read it since one was marked as solved. Will they still read my appeal or just delete my account?
