Feature Request - Select part(s) of a message

Currently it is possible to hold a message and copy the entire message. What I would like to see is an option to only select a part of a message. Example: A long message is typed and you only need to copy 1 word in it. Currently you will have to copy the entire message, paste it somewhere for example, notepad. And then copy the word you want. This is not handy at all and it could save a lot of time if this feature would be implemented.
