Lost access to 2FA app, trying to log in on mobile but can't cause using Sms 2FA isn't an option

Phone ate the dust lost my Google 2FA because of it. I have both my password and Sms 2FA which means I can log in on both desktop and browser still but I can't use Sms 2FA to log in on mobile. Kind of doesn't make much sense to me. I'm trying to keep this account with out having to delete it all cause I can't log in on mobile over a lack of one login option that isn't present on mobile but is available else where.
