Notification Icons

For the past few days I've noticed that whenever i get notifications from someone their avatar isn't showing. Just the first letter of their username. It can get confusing and annoying since i use their avatar to quickly know who they are, plus multiple people sure the same first letter of their username it could get irritating. It can also get confusing since i would think someone from my personal contacts is messaging me.
