Recent Photos Tab Pops Up While Typing

This happens after I press the button to bring up the recent images tab, then press the button to open up the file viewer. I select a picture, and it attaches to the message, and the normal typing keyboard shows back up. But, as soon as I type anything with the keyboard, the recent images tab pops up again, and I accidentally select several pictures since I was trying to type on the keyboard. This problem happens 100% of the time after attaching images to a message via the file selector and NOT the recent images tab. I haven't seen any other posts about it, and it's been an issue for a few weeks now. Is anybody else having this problem?
