HELP!! Banned, but not actually banned.
Hi all,
I desperately need help! I don't know what to do, this morning I verified my phone number on my account which has been active since 2018, and joined a server. Whether this is related of not, I don't know, but in case it was I thought I should put it in. So I was looking through the discord app on my iPhone and suddenly I realised that a server which I had been a long time member of had disappeared from my servers list. I immediately contacted an admin of the server, thinking I had been banned, but he said it showed up that I had left and nobody had been banned. I tried to rejoin the server, and it says 'invalid invite: you have been banned'. Myself and the admins have been trying for hours to fix it and nothing has worked, I managed to get on the server under a new account, but even now I can't get in on my proper one. I would greatly appreciate any advice as we are at a loss and I can't bear to keep on switching accounts when I haven't even been banned on the first one, just prevented by Discord from rejoining a server I never wanted to leave, which I greatly value.

The solution is simple; either you were ip banned, or it has something to do with phone verification. If you verified your phone then follow Lily's solution:

So.. I solved the problem!
For me the issue was phone verification, so to remove the number from my main account to regain server access...
1) I went to an incognito tab in google and joined a random server from disboard.com.
2) You must do this while having your main account open in the discord PC app and in another tab on the web browser. The goal is that discord will flag the new account and think it is suspicious, and they will ask you to verify.
3) Select 'verify with phone' and type in your number. You will need to wait a bit before you try this fix, because if you try it too soon after verifying on your main account it won't let you - there's a cooldown time.
4) Once your phone is verified, the number will have been removed from your main account and you can rejoin the servers you lost!
Optional: If you don't want your phone number floating around discord in a ghost account, make your newly phone verified account into a secure account with a password/email, then delete it - thus removing your number from discord altogether.

If you were ip banned; use a hotspot for discord, then you should be able to join back by just clicking on the invite link.

Hey! I just made an apt account while I was in a server called turtles then I tried to add it and it said user was banned, I thought it was because I was in the server so I left and tried to get back however it said I was banned!!!!!!!!!PLEASE HELP ME

so i was in my favorite most used server and then i couldnt find it, i tried rejoining it wouldnt let me said i had been banned. there was talk about banning someone else for saying somethjng. any suggestions?(this is from the iOS app)

hello! i found an actual solution. this just happened to my friend. what you need to do is contact an admin or the owner of the server about it and send them this ez solution :
all you need to do is clear the whole list of banned people in server settings. might take a while if you are in a big server but i promise that it works. ( at least for my friend and an old admin, it did)

Same thing happened to me I was in a server telling them they’re server was eye burning for me and then they kicked me but discord says I’m banned I asked a mod to help but they couldn’t see me in the ban list. If you wanna reach out to me my user is e v e e#3495

Same thing here. But I just found out after reading about the new mobile sharing update. Don't want to go through the hassle of linking up a mobile device so if anyone knows how to fix this on the computer my user is Xenobladefan17#0047.

Hello, I have found a workaround with this, but the catch to it is that you need a VPN.
Log in with the account you are in with VPN
Join the guild with the invite
And you may turn the VPN off after that.1 -
Yes I solved the problem too... Unban everyone from that server and then create a dm group of your friends and also add any admin of that server... Then send the invite link there... Try joining it and you will be able to do it

I found a solution to this.When you are banned from a server your IP is banned from its root so that means if u are banned and make another account you wont be able to join the server the first account was banned on.So check to see if ur banned from a server ur trying to get in from another account.If this persist use a vpn to encrypt ur IP so u wont get the message of being banned. Hope this worked because i did for me.Best of WISHES!!!!

Found Solution: (Depending on Situation)
So, I had a friend who left one of my servers as a joke and he was said to be banned. All 4 of my logs (trial mod logs, audit logs, dyno website logs, and mods logs) showed that he left and was never banned but discord said otherwise. I tried banning him and unbanning him by using id and just right clicking on his tag, but that didn't work. I found out the problem was someone else was banned and they had the same ip as him. Since they had the same ip address, his account wouldn't allow him in even though he wasn't banned. Since the other account was banned, so was his, in order to get him back. I unbanned the account with the same ip, invited him then I just banned the account with the same ip again.0 -

This happened to me too and I had nightmares about thisSo first of all u need to create an alt......and get it banned from the server...then you need to get it unbanned
And then you will be able to join back...

i had this problem as well. i found only one solution:
have the staff ban and then unban your account, and then get an invite to a different channel.

This just happened to me today. Yesterday I left a private server because I needed to take a break. Than today I decided that I wanted to come back again. I asked both of the two main admins (one having ownership) to add me back but it kept saying that I'm banned. They said that I'm not banned though. We kept trying over and over and over but it wasn't working. I even tried using my two alt accounts but that didn't work either. I tried lily's solution but that didn't work. I'm waiting for their opinion on unbanning the banned members so I have yet to see if that works. If any of you would like to send me any more solutions my discord is @koko asf#0185

Update: I'm fine now. I asked them to unban everyone, and it worked. Discord let me in. This method might be a bit far fetched for public servers but if you have a private server with a bunch of banned people you're sure won't come back than definitely go for it.

Easy fix, just ask the admin or owner to unban ALL the alts and boom, u can join with ur main.
SO NO NEED TO UNBAN EVERYONE, JUST UNBAN ALL ALTS, so as in a big server unbanning everyone wont work so just unban all alts, it worked for me,

possible solution:
I'm a co-owner in a server with 50k+ people, so banning everyone wasn't an option for me. I tried asking the member who got "banned" (although he only got kicked) if he had had an alt in the server which has gotten banned previously, he did.
So i unbanned the alt to see if that would help him join back, and it worked!
I think it has to do with how your accounts can be linked by the phone number verification therefore it detected his other user as banned as well. Hope it works.0 -
For me, the solution that worked was to unban everyone that was banned, or clear the ban logs. I did not find this myself, thank you to 'cowboy' for this, i am reposting it. Here's their profile!

Hello I am a bit late here :D
My grammar may not be perfect, so sorry about that.
I had a similar issue about banning aswell. I got banned for no reason when I was browsing in the server.
The reason was that I used an alt account to test the autoban in the previous day. Because that account got banned, my main account is also considered to be suspicious because both used the same IP adress (I mean, they both used the same internet connection).
To fix, just contact the moderators of that server and ask them to rewoke the ban on your alt account and send a new link.
You should rejoin to the server without a problem if there is no other issues.
If this does not work, try using the other solutions in this comment section.

this also happened to me the server name is piss pile by fanny#4444 they tried sending me invites and they told me i wasnt banned but somehow discord wont let me join because "im banned from the guild" which im not
