The Discord role is now available as one of TikTok LIVE Subscription’s customized perks. You can now add even more value to your LIVE Subscription by offering access to your Discord server or exclusive channel(s).

Q: How do I set up my Discord role customized perk?
A. On the TikTok app, access your profile, then go to Creator Tools > Subscription > Customized Perks and toggle on the Discord role. Next, you’ll be prompted to enter your Discord login details to connect your Discord account.

Once your Discord account is connected, select the Discord server you want subscribers to have access to, or create a new server, and then click Authorize. This connects your TikTok account to your Discord server.
Q: How do I create an exclusive Discord server, channel, or channels for my TikTok LIVE subscribers to access?
A. In order to create a private Discord server or channel(s) exclusively for your LIVE subscriber community, you must first create a new Discord role. This role grants subscribers access to any channel(s) designated to that role.
Follow the instructions here to create a new Discord role and channel. Once completed, follow the final step below.
Now that your Discord server has a TikTok LIVE role, select that role by navigating from your profile on the TikTok app to Creator Tools > Subscription > Customized Perks and clicking Discord settings under the Discord role customized perk.
Please note: After the TikTok setup is complete, you must navigate to the Discord server settings and ensure that the TikTok role is higher on the list than the roles you created for your subscribers. If it’s not listed higher, manually drag the role up to ensure the role permission is granted.
Q: What happens if someone unsubscribes from my LIVE Subscription?
A. You can choose what happens when someone unsubscribes by navigating to Creator Tools > Subscription > Customized Perks and then clicking Discord settings under the Discord role customized perk.
Next, under Expired Subscription behavior, you can choose to Remove the Discord Subscription role after 7 days or 24hrs; Kick from server after 7 days or 24hrs; or choose to take no action which allows the user to retain access to the Discord role and channel or server.
