Option to stop Krisp Noise suppression turning off automatically
Krisp noise suppression automatically turns off if discord detects particularly high CPU usage to "not interrupt your gaming". this does the exact opposite for me, and not only affects me but my friends to as it requires me to constantly alt-tab out to turn it back on so I don't mess up my friends due to my bad mic quality.
I suggest that an option is added in settings below the Krisp noise suppression toggle that *Must* be explicitly toggled, that disables KNS automatically turning off when discord detects high CPU usage, maybe with a warning that this may cause frame drops so people don't complain.

Do staff even read these? Why is Discord support so bad for this one specific issue?
2 -
Why does Discord staff have no broom?
Because they don´t care... :P
5 Years later and still not even one single patch in that direction, not even an answer or anything else.
It´s the same with bots and spam, you can report them, but does Discord staff care? I don´t think so.1 -
please ask your friends to vote on this we're almost on the sort by votes front page for this category

It's July 2023 and this is still an issue that occurs every day. Even when my PC is not under heavy load. It does seem to be a false positive problem, like some other users have suggested and it is incredibly annoying.
It even turns itself off again right after I turned it back on - my friends will hear my fan in this blazing heat, so I check Krisp and see it's turned off, so I turn it on, exit settings, then immediately I get that message that it's turned off for me, as if it's doing me a favor and I have to back into it again to turn in on and hope that it stays on.
Other times, it will show as on, but won't be and I have to turn it off, then on again for it to work - if after that the same problem as described above doesn't happen and I immediately get the "we turned it off" message after exiting settings.
How can this still be an issue 2+ years later? Does Discord not give a damn about these things?

I'm convinced that this is some limitation of Krisp itself that the Discord team weren't able to modify, or they likely would have by now. Shame that Krisp hasn't done anything to improve it though.

bump, this is getting annoying as fck

genuinely in awe at the fact this is still an issue, my noise suppression has turned itself off TWENTY ONE (21) times in 8 hours, no popup messages, no high CPU usage, just turns off randomly and constantly.
makes me want to switch to a different voip platform, maybe revolt is better than this nigh-unusable program.

Bump, similarly flabbergasted that it still isn't a toggle to just take on the horrible risk of “high cpu” loads from a noise suppression filter after years of this issue being constant.

This issue is resolved by visiting Control Panel → Search for Power → Power Options → Choose a power plan → Select active power plan's Change plan settings → Change advanced power settings → Processor power management → Select the minimum and maximum CPU power states to not be 100%.
Presumingly, when CPU peaks at 100% randomly even for a millisecond Discord is hardcoded to disable Krisp for performance “optimisation”
Absolutely shameful that this issue has been active for over 4 years and Discord has done nothing to address it, even more so Krisp. Assuming not enough customers impacted.
Here's a guide video:

It turns out that all applications and games will not be able to load the processor 100%? If you put it at 99%, of course there shouldn't be a decrease in performance and if it helps, that's great.

Usually the factory setting for CPU is 95%. People tend it to keep it at 95% for laptops and bump it to 100% on PCs due to better cooling solutions. However, wouldn't expect any game that one's machine can already handle to run the CPU at those processing power states. Shouldn't really impact performance, only counter the lazy implemented Discord's Krisp integration.

By the way, does setting the value below 100% disable turbo boost and similar technologies? This is not a processor load limitation.
