Well I could say that Discord itself will take a bit since Covid is still a thing and they have a lot of requests to deal with on a daily basis, to it would definitely be best to be patient and wait for a response on their side

I’ve submitted a ticket to Support about 7 days ago on on the 5/02/21 about an unauthorised purchase of nitro classic. Discord hasn’t responded to me so I contacted PayPal for help and now discord has disabled my account. can anyone help?

@Mrnonfatal literally got the same issue here, discord support is far too slow to respond on issues like this to the point where my bank flagged it as illegitimate and now my account is inaccessible! For almost a week I've been waiting for ANY response on this and there's no number to support or directly chat with someone (they just bloody ignore you on Twitter)

@sanchit, no they never helped me with anything. Discord is wack. DO NOT EVER GIVE THEN PAYMENTS. Do not, I will not stress it enough. Do not ever connect a card or bank to discord because I have gotten money taken from discord and the support didn’t help me refund my money. I had certain amount of hours to refund my things and they purposely made me miss the times. I know for a fact discord is stealing money from people because I have high security and only thing that was able to charge me at time of date was discord and I can’t file a dispute or get a lawyer because it’s discord lol

It was a PayPal payment for me & they immediately refunded me the money although it's because of that my discord account is disabled now, the mail says "your account was disabled as we got a chargeback", I was the owner of a really important server & so it's really important for me to get my account back

I’m not sure what to say other than don’t use discord anymore. It’s not secure.

They haven’t responded to my requests in the 30 days of my account deletion. They didn’t decline or accept it. I don’t know why they still haven’t replied to this day. I lost my 1 year account due to this.

I had this issue OVER A YEAR AGO and still no response. My account was fully deleted and I created another one after the email was free again. Now it happened again and I never got an email why. I own an important discord server a few discord bots and soon it's all going to be gone and I have no idea why. (Over a year on the first account and almost a week on the second)

Edit: my new account is over a year old and my old account was almost 5 years old at the time.

they're outright ignoring people who repeatedly reach out to them due to a lack of response from them. the discord support team infuriates me with their irresponsibility. im never ever buying nitro again. they don't deserve your money with customer support like this.

My account got locked for opening multiple dms quickly (something’s going on here) and I created a ticket and emailed support. This was before Christmas. I got a phone for Christmas and was able to verify my account. I still have no response to either to this day.

do they even check their support forums? or is it just another place to ignore people

Someone recently falsely reported me for being the age of 9 on discord whilst i was joking about being the age of 9 and boom my discord account the next day gets disabled. I decided to email discord about this and they told me to send them proof of my birthdate. I sent them a proof of my birthdate using a passport and a picture of me then they decide to not reply to me. I emailed them again using disc.gg/support and they still havent replied back i went in an alt email account and they replied to that but not my main email account.

Edit : After a week I finally have got my account back, guys keep trying and dont give up!

I legit had google pay default to my parents card while I was driving, I had 0 idea that google pay saved it as I was on mobile, and was paying a phone bill via the AT&T app, it used their card instead of mine to pay for the Nitro I bought, which I never really use other than to stream movies. And now my account is disabled, here's hoping for a decently fast response.

I just got my account back about 30min ago. My account was disabled for "engaging in theft or distribution of paywalled content". Which I knew couldn't be right, I submitted a ticket a weak ago explaining my situation of why it was disabled by mistake. While I waited I looked up what the average response time was for support. I saw all the stories of people who claimed to be ghosted by discord and started to worry my self. So I was thinking of ways to maybe get someone's attention like twitter. Needles to say that didn't work so I made 3 more tickets and sent an email hoping that it might spark someone's attention. Emails are no longer a way to make an appeal so that ticket was automatically marked as resolved. We're pass the 7th day of waiting now I'm hoping come Saturday I might get a answer which would make it the 8th day. Long and behold I saw that the activity of two of my tickets were recently updated which I assumed that someone was finally assigned to it. I guessed right and about 20min later I received a reply. It was a nerve-racking experience to say the least after reading other peoples experience with Discord's support team. Best advice I can give anyone is submit a ticket as soon as your account is disabled/banned etc, as soon as you notice or receive the email. This will ensure you have the most optimum amount of time before your account surpasses the deletion time frame. As I read you only have 14 days the day of your account being disabled/banned until it is deleted. This will give you the best chance of receiving a reply and gives them ample to time to respond in their average response time. making multiple tickets will not help. The best you can do is make 2 in the same day. the first explaining your case and the second if you wanted to follow up on the first. all though you can add on to the ticket after you submitted I choose to make a second hoping it would make a difference. After that, all you can do is wait and expect a reply from support after a weak of your submissions.

They have responded to all tickets sent on alternate accounts but wont respond to the email of the account that needs help. Why is it my main is being ignored but my alternates are receiving help ?

KashInc7 You waited a period of eight days due to the false claim on your account correct? Mind answering some questions too if you don't mind? I'm receiving the same issue and I am getting obviously worried about my account.

Yeah I waited the average response time which is around a week. What questions do you have?

KashInc7 I'm just overall confused with this sort of situation. I do like the fact that I have chances of being responded towards eight days, it's day 2 right now for me. So it's very nice hearing about your situation, but I'm confused about what it meant to "paywalled content"? I tried searching for the term everywhere but it kept leading me towards forums like this.

There's also another question if you don't further mind or rather some feedback around it. I sent my situation to the discord team. I had the account for around multiple years and even paid nitro on it. Gave the record of me never having an offense as well, shown by account history. Even gave them my email but would that really be enough to prove I never did the situation/offense?

@Alseep In my situation I was in a discord server that apparently people were either stealing information or distributing paywalled content. The paywalled content I would assume would be stuff such as onlyfans or anything that requires a subscription. How they define that I’m still not to sure on.

As to proving that you never engaged in it, I would safely assume they can tell if you did. Since even as a server owner you can check the logs of every action from everyone in the server. I’ve also heard people having their accounts disabled because of buying nitro and then switching cards/payment methods.

This was the response from the support team. Hopefully this can clear somethings up. Take note that I never really engage in the servers I’m in. If I do it’s to a bare minimum I only use discord to talk to friends.

    Hello,

After further review of your situation, I've gone ahead and lifted the suspension on your Discord account at this time. We disabled your account due to participation in a specific server that was posting content that was in extreme violation of our Community Guidelines.

Please be aware of the servers that you're in, and the content that they post. If servers you're in are posting content that's in violation of our Guidelines, we strongly suggest that you report the content and leave; otherwise, there may be situations where your account will also have action taken on it.

We don't believe that you're responsible for everything that someone else posts (especially in larger servers), but the servers that you're a part of reflect on you.

    Sincerely,
    Discord Trust & Safety

KashInc7 To be entirely truthful about this information I was in a discord server that engaged in outright NSFW or at least partially? It had NSFW content well within it and a hangout. So I stood around in it, whilst becoming an admin for the server gradually as I befriended the Owner rather quickly somehow. I moderated it and talked in there quite often, even giving aid as a fellow moderator of the server itself.

Yet at the same time, there was nothing really partaking in OF content or anything I assume there wasn't. It was certainly a large server, so I couldn't keep tracking everything but there was a small team of admins. Though I can safely say I never partook in posting OF content or being affiliated with it. I never posted it and I never shared it.

I just know I never did something like this or done anything in relation to paywalled content. At the time of my disablement, I was doing some sort of event that involved giving nitro away. No invites, just simple messages in the server. Whoever had the most won. That's the best thing I can gauge at if I ever did "invest" in paywalled content.

Thanks for replying towards me in the end of all things, just a man who's worried about one of his social media accounts.

Hey, I'm having the same problem. Did you ever get ur account back, cuz im worried I won't be able to get mine undisabled since I'm, "underaged" according to discord.

I've been recently disabled on discord on one of my accounts and have yet to get any response. It's been almost two days of me writing this, and I have yet to get a response from anyone. One of my friends waited two days, and my other waited 5 days. Another of my friend said his wasn't clear like what happened to some of you, and he got his account deleted because they didn't respond. They're telling me that due to high volumes, they will take a bit to respond. However, I'm still worried my account from 2017 will be removed because I was "indicated for being a young age".

It confuses me that it takes this long for them to just quickly look at my Date of Birth, my face and my face on the ID to accept it. There shouldn't be any issues with lighting, my room was insanely bright at the time and you can even make out the Date of Birth without having to look super close. I'll give an update on what happens.
