Allow verified bots to change their name

Currently, verified bots cannot change their username. I don't see any reason this limitation exists - upvote (or whatever you do in these discord forums) to allow verified bots to change their name.

I can't have my bot say BETA forever!

1. thats not what the post is regarding, it's just an example

2. because the beta was in 300 servers and I didn't want to limit it

Verification is a very new thing on Discord. Discord is working through thousands of applications at the moment, and have stated that this feature will probably come once verification slows down.

I also have this problem, have named my bot like a realy big one and can't change the name. I requested it by the support but get the message that this feature maybe come in the future.

I 100% agree! why you can't change a bot's name even after verification, I don't know.

if they want to stop curse words or pfps they could just have an api filter, so there's no reason why you can't(and the fact they have a id to bot thing already)
