How to Keep Your Discord Account Safe
To keep your Discord account safe, always avoid clicking on links or downloading files from unknown or untrusted sources. Malicious links and downloads can compromise your account and personal data. Additionally, enable Multi-Factor Authentication, use a strong, unique password, and be cautious of unsolicited messages—especially those requesting personal information. Staying vigilant and following these security practices will help keep your account protected.

Finally, to ensure your device's security, we recommend running a Windows defender scan if you’re on Windows to check for any potential viruses.
For your protection, be mindful of the most common types of security threats:
- Suspicious Links or Files – These may appear as “games” or promises of “free Nitro” but are often designed to steal your login credentials.
-
Social Engineering – This involves individuals attempting to manipulate you into sharing your login, confidential, or personal information, which can then be used for fraudulent activities or to target other users.
- Examples include scammers impersonating Discord employees offering to "appeal actions on your account" or asking for your credit card details to help you “win a giveaway.”
