What is Screen Sharing?

Screen Sharing allows you to share your screen or an application window through a voice call in a server, direct message, or group message. 

Note: When you’re in a voice call, any number of users can screen share, but only 50 users can watch an individual screen share.

How to Screen Share on MacOS

Note: Depending on the OS of your Mac device, your UI may look slightly different.

1. Join a voice channel that you have permissions to screen share in and then tap the Screen Share [] icon.

2. You can choose to share one of the following: Share entire screen, share a window, share an app, or you can tap on Or share a device to share from a device.

3. After deciding what you want to screen share, you can then select the Stream Quality, Resolution, and Frame Rate. After you’re finished with your selections, tap on Next.

4. You’ll be prompted by your MacOS device to select exactly what you want to screenshare. Tap Make Selection and then press on what you want to share to select it.

5. Now you’re screen sharing to the Discord app on a MacOS device!
