Creating a Discord account is quick and easy! This guide walks you through the sign-up process and helps resolve common registration issues so that you can start chatting with friends as soon as possible!

How to Sign Up for Discord

Desktop/Browser

1. Open the Discord desktop app or visit https://discord.com/login in your browser to create an account. Click on Register.

2. Enter your account registration information including your email, username, password, and date of birth. 

Double-check that your email address is spelled correctly— otherwise, you won't be able to change it after registration.

Press Continue once you’re finished.

3. Complete the CAPTCHA if prompted. Then you'll be logged in and ready to use your new Discord account! 

Mobile

1. Download Discord from your app store and then open the Discord app.

2. Tap Register to begin creating an account.

3. Enter your phone number or email address.

4. Follow the on-screen prompts and enter the required registration information. 

Tap Register after entering your date of birth. 

5. You're now logged in and ready to enjoy your new Discord account!

How To Register or Sign Up via Discord Invite

If someone sends you a Discord invite link to join a server and you don’t already have a Discord account, you’ll be prompted to create one.

If you tap on the invite link to join, you’ll be redirected to the login page. Depending on the device you’re  using, follow these instructions:

How to Troubleshoot Registration Errors

Email is Already Registered

If you see the error message Email is already registered, it means this email address is already linked to a Discord account. 

Remember, you can only use an email address with one Discord account at a time.
