Whether you’re bug hunting or running into an issue on the app, one of the most important pieces of information you need to determine is that you’re running the most up-to-date version of Discord. Here’s how to check what version you’re running for both desktop and mobile apps. You can also provide this information to our Support team if you have any questions or need assistance with anything.
What this article covers:
Desktop
1. Tap on the cogwheel [] in the bottom left corner of the desktop app to open up your User Settings.
2. Scroll all the way down and you’ll see your client info on the bottom left.
3. Click the version info to copy it to your clipboard, then paste it in your report for us.
Mobile
In order to see your client info, you need to first enable Developer Mode. You can learn how to enable this by checking out this article.
1. Tap on your avatar in the bottom right corner to pull up your User Settings.
2. Next, tap on the cogwheel [] at the top right corner.
3. Now scroll down until you see Developer Settings at the bottom.
4. The following information needs to be provided:
- App version
- Operating System
- Device info
