What is a Server Invite Background?

A perk for servers that reach Boosting Level 1, a Server Invite Background is the image that appears behind the invite pop-up in the app and web browsers. It's a fun way to personalize your server's invites and showcase your server's theme, purpose, and community!

What are the Server Invite Background guidelines?

In order to upload an image for a Server Invite Background, you should keep in mind the following:

  • The main requirement is that the image size is 1920x1080 and we accept JPG and PNG files.
  • Choose an image that represents your server's theme, brand, purpose, and community!
  • The server invite itself is an upright rectangular in-window pop-up in the middle of the window, so make sure key parts of your image aren't covered up by the pop-up
    • You can upload an image and then copy and paste the server's invite link in an incognito/private window to see how the Server Invite Background looks!
  • We recommend not using an image with a logo or text in it for your Server Invite Background.
  • Server Invite Backgrounds cannot animate/be a GIF.

How do I upload an image for a Server Invite Background?

On desktop/browser:
1. Press on the downward arrow next to the Server Name and choose Server Settings
2. Select the Overview tab
3. Scroll down to Server Invite Background
4. Press on the Upload Background button

Q: Can I access the Server Invite Background perk for my server at Boosting Level 2/3?

A: Yes! If your server goes beyond Boosting Level 1 and reaches Boosting Level 2/3, your server will still have access to this perk.

Q: How do I remove my server's current image for the Server Invite Background?

A: Go to the Server Settings >  Overview then scroll to the bottom of the page and press Remove under the preview of the Server Invite Background image.

Q: Can I edit or adjust the image for a Server Invite Background after I upload it?

A: Unfortunately, you are unable to edit or adjust the image after you upload it as a Server Invite Background.

Q: What is the required image size for a Server Invite Background?
