Remove Verify phone timeout
i am non-stop trying to verify to a server and I didn't get the verify code.
this is really complicated for me and I want it to remove it.
I am tring it every day, and also, what's the time of the timeout?

My account got flagged, so I use a phone number. AND IT STILL THINKS I'M A BOT SO MY ACCOUNT GOT FLAGGED AGAIN! Great. Now I have to wait for another 14 days, how fun!

WAIT I REALIZED SOMETHING!!! I got locked out because I used my phone number for my ALT account!! I have 2 responses about this.
1. Rules never said you can't have more than 1 account.
2. This is what it says "one Discord account at a time", you know what this means? It doesn't say you can only use this on one discord account, SO MY ACCOUNT GOT FLAGGED FOR NO REASON!!!10 -
14 days you all say? My phone number has been invalid for year and a half now and I'm still trying to use it on my what used to me primary account until I got locked out.

honestly, in my opinion 14 days is not bad. Why do I say so? Because for me it's been 2 MONTHS. 60 DAMN DAYS

My phone number still says invalid even on a new account. I wonder how much longer it will take. It's been invalid since about March 13, 2021 and i can't access many servers :| cmonnnnn lift the timeout.

Esviar, if the phone number was logged on an banned or deleted account it wont be valid.

I accidently linked my phone number to another account and now I cant link my phone number to my account! What gives!? i nned discord to remove phone number timeouts and stop using the bullshit excuse that is"anti-abuse" to place timeouts on numbers. This is getting really annoying. Sometime discord has to change that.

This 14 days delay is simply absurd... it just does not make any sense whatsoever to be unable to use you own phone number even if no other account uses it anymore... just what the hell?

Why does the timeout apply on THE SAME account that you first used a certain phone number?
And why does Discord not tell you that removing the phone number from your account is also going to un-verify it?
Most sites (much larger than Discord, such as Google and Facebook) allow you to safely dissociate your phone number after successfully verifying. Discord's "safety" measures are absurd.

This just happened to me for no reason at all. No alt account and have not helped anyone else verify their accounts. I just became a member of a server that requires phone verification (first time doing this) and I followed the process. This is really absurd, especially when there is no warning or ETA regarding the timeout. Please remove this hurdle to using our accounts. Now I can't join this server properly. Absurd!

Help I have been waiting for discord to send the 6 digit code to my phone for verification but I haven't received anything at all. I have never used my phone number to activate any other accounts, so I don't know if my phone number is on lock down.

This is honestly the stupidest security feature ever added to discord i shouldn't have to wait 2 weeks just to access my account because i made the mistake of using my number on an alt account. i really hope this is removed or at least updated to give you more options because this is honestly really stupid. I just want to get into my account and talk with my friends, now all my friends are going to be confused why i was gone for 14 days. Discord why did you add this? its unnecessary you should of made it allow us to use another way to verify accounts.

OH WAIT it IS THAT BAD why is this even a thing???? i have been logged out for 2 days now and i am BORED with my life lol i dunno how to contact discord and even if i did, i know i will get a automated response... discord is 100/10 but this whole thing RUINS it all overall 0/10 for customer service... they need to engage with the users more AND LIFT THIS THING THAT IS RUINING THE EXPIRIENCE 14 days is just absurd and if they think we will wait that long just because we made a little mistake then I DONT KNOW TO THEM ANYMORE smh

Soooooo, I cant get back on discord for 14 days….. thanks guys, i really appreciate it.😤. I guess discord is punishing us for having friends or alt accounts. Thanks a lot discord.🤬

Bruh remove this unnecessary "Safety" thing when?
- Remove it. or
- Make it so that we're able to use 1 phone number for multiple account (at least two)

Stuck in this timeout trap. Got prompted for phone verification on my atl and it locked my main. Now I can't get back in my main account. Completely ridiculous mechanic which assumes to not trust the user which was the original holder of the number. Provide alternative verification methods!!!

so i have to wait 14 days just because discord glitched on my alt and it said something went wrong? Then after I fix that problem I have to wait another half a month just to put it back on my main?

anti-abuse, its actually bs. 14 days isn't anti abuse, that's anti-actual fking users. Anti bot abuse legit only needs to be like 24-48 hours, tbh even less, if it is the "abuse" they are worried about.
Tbh just seems like they wanted to cancel even the good bots that help run servers, while also wrecking havoc on the actual bots, however they also wreck havoc on all the users without phones, aswell as those that need to have multiple accounts.
legit change the cd down to 24hrs and allow one phone to be used on up to 3 accounts. that's still not bot-able and allows users to still use the app.1 -
Bro my sister let me use her number because I'm grounded. I'm lucky I have a alt account but thats some bs man, and she used her number on her account forgetting I have it so it said I need to verify to text? Which I thought was dumb. I tried to take it off hers and put it on mine again just to take it off because you can use it without a number but 14 days is that true??
