Underage Appeals & Hacked Accounts Information
Hello everyone,
I am returning to the forums to provide useful insights and information for users having issues with the title of this post. Before I begin providing tips, I would like to make it clear that I am not a discord staff, rather, I am an ambassador volunteering to help provide helpful information for any users that may be struggling with receiving support.
In this post I will be talking about 2 different things:
- How to properly submit an age update form
- How to recover your account if hacked and/or disabled
How to properly submit an “Age Update” appeal form:
If your account was disabled due to indication of being underaged on the platform, you will be emailed more information regarding this subject, and you will be provided with steps on how to submit an age update form. If these instructions weren't clear enough for you, feel free to keep reading here.
Head over to the support website and fill out the form as follows:
Be sure to include the proper information that is being asked of you on this form. In the description, include that you were falsely reported. After having done this and filled out the information asked of you, it's time to get your picture ready!
This photo should include the following:
- Your face (make sure it is visible in the photo)
- You holding a piece of paper that shows your full Discord username
- You holding a photo ID that contains your date of birth
Please note that you can cover up any sensitive parts of your photo ID, but your face and your date of birth need to be clearly visible in the photo. The support team cannot accept screenshots, printouts, or other copies of identification and that the original ID must be presented. (this means no school ID as well.)
Once you have completed this process and taken your picture that includes all of the information presented, click on the “Add files or drop files here” button and attach the picture of your verification. Read through your ticket again, double check and make sure you have provided accurate information. After doing so, you're ready to click the submit button!
After you have submitted your ticket, there is nothing else that needs to be done on your end. The support team will handle the rest of the ticket once they get to it. As much as it sucks to hear, please remain patient throughout this process as the support team receives hundreds of age appeals per day. Rest assured, they will review your photo and your ticket once they get to it.
PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT SUBMIT MULTIPLE TICKETS. BY SUBMITTING MULTIPLE TICKETS, THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE MARKED AS SOLVED, AND YOU WILL NOT RECEIEVE A REPLY FROM AN AGENT.
(If you accidentally submitted multiple tickets previously, wait until they are marked as solved. Once they are marked as solved, continue to write in your ORIGINAL ticket rather than any of the newer ones you submitted.)
How to recover a Hacked Account via the Hacked Account form:
If you have fallen victim to a malicious hacking incident, you can recover your account via the Hacked Account form on the support website. You can find this form here.
Once you have reached this form, fill out the required information being asked of you. If you cannot remember the full username and tag number on your account, you can just enter your username instead. Answer all of the questions as accurately as you can as this helps the support team further get an idea of what is being dealt with regarding your account.
Inside of the description section of this form, be sure to include as many details as you can regarding the incident. Include any attachments that can further verify what had happened.
After you have submitted this ticket, do not create any duplicates. Make sure you double check your content inside of your ticket, verify it is all accurate, and then click the submit button. Once again similar to the Age Appeal, you will need to remain patient. Rest assured an agent will review your ticket at some point.
Frequently Asked Questions / FAQ:
Q: Is it true that Discord accounts are disabled after 14 days?
A: No, accounts are disabled 30 days after you have received the email regarding your account being deactivated. If you have a currently open ticket regarding your account status, your account will remain intact until your ticket has been reviewed.
Q: I did not receive an email regarding my account being disabled, what do I do?
A: Make sure to check your emails spam folder. If you still do not see an email explaining why your account was disabled, it is likely you posted illicit content or were involved in servers that were doing such. The only thing you can do in this scenario is submit an appeal via the appeals form.
Q: How long does it usually take for my ticket to be checked?
A: There is no exact set time for tickets that are submitted, it can take up to 2-3 weeks at times, however, rest assured that they will be checked before your account is deleted entirely. Again, please refrain from submitting multiple tickets, and remain patient.

Sorry to bring this up again, If the Discord support team realize that there's a serious amount of people get tricked to download Malicious file and they get their account disabled because it were use to upload Malware or Illicit content?
This happened to so many people:(

Hi haunt i made multiple tickets by accident but they replied after 3 weeks and asked for id info to update my age i sent it in and the day my discord account was deleted they replied to me that there is no existing account..

I've got my issue about 2 weeks ago. My account was permanently bisabled because it was “underaged”.
I've sent my photo with holding ID, date of birth, Face and Profile nicknames(login/nickname)
They said, that I didn't do goodquality photo, so I've done new.
2 days ago, I've updated my ticket with a new goodquality photo, which is showing good quality of my face, date of birth and etc.
Today I've got new e-mail from support, that my account was disabled again. (Why? They even didn't unban previous ban) and I need to change my password. Support didn't answer me here yet. Only by e-mail.
I've changed password, while thinking, that I've got unbanned. But no.
New information, that I saw on discord autorize menu is ban for a 1 year, because there was same password on this web-site. Why? I have 2 step authentication, I didn't give any pass-token for someone. I didn't violated any of rules and mistakely was banned for being underaged. I'm afraid to lose that account, it's very old and it has very old messages and very lotta friends, also there is a lot of servers, where I am being as administrator. Please help.

To all the people struggling, and I don't want to sound like I am bragging. I want to say I can thankfully say that my account has been unlocked.
In part thanks to Haunt's advice I have waited patiently for I think it was 15 or 16 days and I was happy to see a response from one of the discord team.
Thank you to Anglerfish for unlocking my account.
I hope everyone else struggling here manages to find a reply soon.

I'm very sorry you've had that experience, I had to wait quite a long time myself, I don't think I did anything special
I logged in almost every day to check any progress on my ticket, then about half way through I posted a short comment on my ticket asking if there has been any further action. Please can you respond.
I think the key with this and quite often with any IT support issue is trying to make your ticket as small as you possibly can with all the points you need to make.
I do hope you get some response.

First they closed the account saying 'You are not 13 years old'. They later called it "suspicious activity" and closed it again until 2025. They later said that there was no account for this email. There is even Nitro, I support them, but Discord doesn't care.

Hello Haunt, I was wondering why my discord account got disabled. I didn't do anything wrong post anything, I am also sitting in a bunch of servers doing nothing no activity or anything. A week ago someone told me they false reported me because my profile was similar to anothers when it wasn't. I don't post any weird content etc but I get an email saying I will not get reinstated, can you help??

Idk, i just stopped sending a lot of tickets and they eventually responded one of the tickets that I already had as “open” like 6-7 days later

I wish you could actually talk to Discord over the phone instead of using their crappy ticket system to be honest.

I gave up guys. No matter what I did, they never got back to me. I wrote via X, they were not interested. First they closed my account, saying I was "under 13". I sent a selfie, but I guess it didn't work, I asked if I should send a new one, they didn't respond. Secondly, the official named "Albacore" showed "suspicious activity" and closed my account until 2025. He then said that there was no account for this email. My advice to you is never buy nitro etc.

Recently, my discord account was disabled & I did not receive any responses for 5-6 days at all, I accidentally submitted 3 tickets and had to add multiple responses in my 3 tickets appeal to clarify and keep the Trust and Safety team updated so they can check my ID card and my face perfectly so none of them can say that my ID is blurred and birthdate is not shown properly. However what worries me the most is the probation account deletion, I am extremely worried & anxious to the point where after 31 days before my account gets deleted then my memories & important documents and files within' that account will disappear forever which there is no turning back after the account gets completely deleted. I've once heard someone saying that their account was deleted due to the Trust & Safety team failed to respond to someone and ignored his ticket request ID then after a few days his account was completely deleted…
As of right now, to make things clear for the Trust & Safety Team, I had to get through. my other old account in this website and had to open another ticket, this time; It is completely clear, I have provided all the information that discord wanted. My face with a paper written on it with my full username, and my birth of date alongside with my national ID. I just really want the Trust & Safety Team to review and read my ticket appeal, hopefully not some bot…
To clear things up, I am 17 years old and I am close to 18. I am not underaged at ALL. Had nitro in my account and so on. That is pretty much all I have to say regarding about my ticket appeal, stay safe & take your time.
