Server Discovery is how a Community Server becomes a Discoverable Server, which anyone can find and join without an invite. Here's how to turn it on, and where to go if you want to turn it off. Discoverable Servers also have a Server Web Page that anyone can find through web search. Summaries of public channels may appear on it from November 16, 2026, and messages can appear starting mid-December 2026. Both are on by default, and you can change which channels are included in your server's Web Presence settings.

How to Enable Server Discovery
Your server needs to meet these requirements before you can enable Server Discovery:
- Enabling safety requirements for a safe environment.
- Server must have at least 1,000 members to qualify.
- Servers need to be at least 8 weeks old to be in Discovery.
- Servers must meet certain activity requirements to be in Discovery.
- Your server name, description, and channel names follow the Discovery Guidelines.
- Enable the 2FA Requirement For Moderation setting.
Eligibility criteria may be updated over time, and servers are expected to continue meeting them to remain Discoverable.
1. Open Server Settings by selecting your server's name in the upper-left corner.

2. If your server isn't a Community Server yet, select Enable Community, then select Get Started and follow the prompts to set up the required safety settings. Learn more in Enabling Your Community Server.

3. After your server has been set to Community, select Access, then select the Discoverable tab to see if your server meets the requirements for Server Discovery.

4. If your server meets all Server Discovery requirements, select Save to turn your server into a Discoverable Server.
