Note: Offers are currently available only on the Discord desktop app and in a web browser, unless otherwise specified.

Discord runs Nitro offers and promotions from time to time. Eligibility depends on a range of factors, including your region, subscription status, and other criteria specific to each offer.

To check if you're eligible for an offer, select the Nitro tab in the Discord desktop app (via the Direct Messages button in the top left, or User Settings > Nitro). If you're eligible, you'll see one or more of the following:

A banner or notification in the Nitro tab
An in-app message directing you to claim the offer

For most offers, if you don't see one in the Nitro tab, you're not currently eligible, and support isn't able to manually add offers or change eligibility. Some promotions, like Game Shop promotions for Nitro subscribers, appear on other surfaces and can have their own eligibility requirements; see that promotion's entry in the Available Offers section below, and the Game Shops FAQ for details.

Note: Eligibility can change while an offer is running. If you qualify today, check back regularly, as offers are tied to real-time criteria and may adjust over time. Similarly, if you don't see an offer right now, you may become eligible later in the offer period.

How to Check if You're Eligible

Note: This offer flow is only available on the Discord desktop app and browser.

Follow these steps to see if you currently qualify for a Nitro offer.

1. Update your Discord desktop app to the latest version. Some offers only appear on the latest version.

2. Select the Direct Messages button in the top left, then select the Nitro tab. You can also get here through User Settings > Nitro.

3. Look for a promotional offer box in the Nitro tab, like the example below.

These steps cover offers that appear in the Nitro tab. Some promotions, like Game Shop promotions for Nitro subscribers, appear on other surfaces; for those, check the promotion's entry in the Available Offers section below and the Game Shops FAQ for details.

Eligible Subscription Types

To qualify for any of the offers below, eligible users must purchase Nitro (Monthly or Yearly) and pay through the Nitro tab on Desktop or web. The following subscription types do not qualify to receive the offer, even if you’re eligible:

Nitro Credit: purchased in the Shop with Orbs.
Nitro Gifts: includes both sending and receiving a Nitro gift.
Trials: these offers require an upfront payment, and trials don’t qualify.
Referral or Share Nitro Trials: subscriptions started through a referral trial or Share Nitro trial.
Nitro Classic or Basic: offers are valid only on paid Nitro standard subscriptions.
Upgrades from Classic/Basic > Nitro: only direct subscriptions to Nitro are eligible.
Recent subscribers: if you've had an active Nitro subscription within the last 30 days (including trials.)
Other Promotions/Discounts: if you subscribe to Nitro via other promotions such as discounts, you’re not eligible for these offers.

Offer Terms

Duration: Offers are limited-time and may change or end at any time without notice.
Combining offers: Offers can't be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated in that offer's entry below.
Account eligibility: Offers are only valid on the Discord account where you’re eligible. Redeeming on a different account or transferring an offer isn’t supported.
Regional availability: Availability varies by offer. Some offers aren't available in certain countries or regions; specific restrictions for a live offer are noted in its entry below.
Discord's discretion: Discord determines eligibility and reserves the right to limit, modify, or cancel an offer if we detect abuse, fraud, or a violation of our platform terms or policies.
Reward terms: Rewards granted through a Nitro offer, like bonus Orbs or Nitro subscription time, are subject to their standard terms and Refund Policy.
Refund eligibility: If you've redeemed or received any promotional items from Discord or a Discord partner promotion within 5 days of your Nitro membership renewing or becoming a new subscriber, you won't be eligible for a Nitro refund.
Cash value: Offers have no cash value and aren't redeemable for cash.
Unmet eligibility: If you don't meet the eligibility criteria for an offer, any associated reward won't be applied to your account, even if you complete the qualifying action (for example, subscribing to Nitro).
Redemption deadlines: If a promotional benefit requires you to redeem or activate it rather than being applied automatically, the offer may include a date by which you must do so.

Available Offers

Discord Nitro Free Shop Item

Offer type: Unlock a free Shop item with your Nitro subscription purchase
Duration: This offer is available for a limited time. Check the Nitro tab (via the Direct Messages button in the top left, or User Settings > Nitro) to see if you’re eligible.
What you get: A free Shop item for you to pick from the Shop. Collaborations are not included.
Terms: Available to a limited number of eligible users. Eligible users see a banner in the Nitro tab on desktop. Requires subscribing to Nitro (Monthly or Yearly) during the offer window. Free Shop item will be added on successful subscription, and you will need to redeem it in the Shop by 9/11. If you don't meet eligibility, the item won’t be applied to your account. Collabs are not included in this promo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I heard about an offer from a friend or on social media, but I don't see it in my app. What's wrong?

A: Nothing's wrong on your end. Offers are based on specific eligibility criteria, so they don't reach everyone at the same time, or at all. To confirm whether you're eligible, check the Nitro tab (via the Direct Messages button in the top left, or User Settings > Nitro).

Q: Why did I stop seeing an offer I saw yesterday?

A: Offers can be time-limited or capped, and eligibility can shift while an offer is running. If the banner's no longer showing up, the offer isn't available to you anymore, and it may have been removed from the Available Offers section above.

Q: Can support add me to an offer or make an exception?

A: Eligibility is determined automatically based on each offer’s eligibility criteria, so support isn't able to add users to an offer or make exceptions.

Q: I'm eligible for an offer. Where do I redeem it?

A: Head to the Nitro tab where you saw the banner and follow the on-screen steps. The Available Offers section above has the offer type and duration for reference, but redemption happens directly in-app.

Q: Does an offer I claim expire?

A: It depends on the offer. Check the duration listed for that offer in the Available Offers section above. Orbs added to your account don't expire.

Q: I think I should be eligible but I'm not seeing the offer. Can you check my account?

A: Individual eligibility decisions come from each offer’s eligibility criteria, so our support team isn't able to review or adjust them on a case-by-case basis.
