Profile badges are non-transferable and cannot be moved to another account.
Have you ever wondered how to get one of those little icons you see on your friend’s profile?
Those little icons are also known as profile badges! Below you’ll find the lowdown on every profile badge you’ll see. Some are easily obtainable, while some have a few more requirements.

Common Profile Badges
Discord Nitro Badge
If you see this badge on an account, it means that they are subscribed to Discord Nitro! Anyone subscribed to Nitro, Nitro Classic, or Nitro Basic will have the Discord Nitro badge reflected on their profile.
By hovering over this badge, the subscription date will appear to let others know how long they’ve been subscribed.
If you see other Discord users sending custom emojis and stickers, they are typically holders of the Discord Nitro Badge. Learn more about perks offered through Discord Nitro here.
Server Booster Badge
This pink badge represents a user who directly supports one of their favorite servers through Server Boosting. By hovering over the Server Booster badge, you’ll see how long they’ve boosted servers.
If an individual continues server boosting without any pause, the badge will evolve and the design will change over time.
Note:
- If you stop boosting servers, or you are no longer boosting any servers at any time, your boosting streak and badge will reset to the first level!
- If you have multiple boosted servers, the badge will always be whichever is your longest Server Boost streak (or the longest milestone of time achieved for your Server Boost).

HypeSquad House Badges
Have you ever wondered how to obtain one of these three badges? Each one represents a HypeSquad you can join by taking the quick five-question personality test on the desktop or app.
If you would like to take the test:
1. Head into your User Settings by pressing the cog wheel button [] located near your username.
2. Then, select the HypeSquad tab and press the Join HypeSquad button to start the test.
Once you have completed the test, you will be assigned to the House of Bravery, the House of Brilliance, or the House of Balance. You can also click on your profile to take a look at your new HypeSquad House badge.

Rare Badges
Bug Hunter Badge
A mastermind of QA testing and detective work, the Bug Hunter badge is awarded to the most hard-working of those in the Bug Hunter community. There’s even a Golden Bug Hunter badge for those who reach the highest hunter level by going above and beyond!
Those interested in earning this badge will have to actively participate in the Discord Testers community.
Note: Submitting a bug through our Support Portal will not count towards earning the badge.

Active Developer Badge
Those delightful apps in your server were crafted with love by our incredible developer community. They may be helping you and your server automate tasks, play games, get to know each other better, or create your most treasured memes. App developers who are actively bringing more joy to your Discord experience may have an Active Developer badge on their profiles.

Discord Quests Badge
The Discord Quests badge is for those who have completed a Quest! Quests allow players to discover games, earn rewards, and stream the gameplay to friends. Upon completing a quest, the Discord Quests Badge will be bestowed to your profile. For more information about Discord Quests and how it works, visit our Discord Quests FAQ Help Center article.
At the moment, we are unable to remove the Discord Quests Badge from your Profile. However, the team will consider this feature as a potential update in the future.
Mythic Badges
Discord Staff Badge
If you ever run into an individual with the Discord Staff badge, this person spends most of their week at Discord HQ, thinking of the next best thing to improve your Discord experience and dreaming of when the office is going to get a soft-serve machine. (When are we getting that soft-serve machine, btw?)
Legacy Badges
Hypesquad Events Badge
Along with the Hypesquad House badges, there was even a Hypesquad Events badge.
This badge was obtained by those that attended an event, in the name of Hypesquad. Event Coordinators ran the events themselves, such as organizing a university club or planning a LAN event.
This badge is no longer obtainable.
Moderator Program Alumni Badge
Long ago, we granted the Certified Discord Moderator badge to those who were part of our moderation programs. These individuals would receive this badge to show they've mastered the Moderator Academy courses and were active participants in our moderator program ecosystem.
The badge has since evolved into the Moderator Program Alumni badge, as a way to thank everyone that was a part of our moderator ecosystem before Thursday, December 1st, 2022. Early Supporter Badge
Before there were two styles of Discord Nitro, there was simply a $5 version of Nitro. After the $10 tier of Nitro was introduced, we granted the Early Supporter badge to anyone who supported us in the early years of Discord as a thank you gift!
Anyone who purchased Nitro at any point before Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 received this badge. This badge can no longer be obtained! More details about this legacy profile badge can be seen at the Legacy Nitro Classic FAQ.
Partnered Server Owner Badge
Designed for active and engaged communities, the Partner Program distinguished the best servers out there. This Partner Server Owner badge was given to owners of thriving communities and creators that showed an authentic enthusiasm for Discord.
This badge is no longer obtainable.
