How to Report an Unrecognized Charge on Your Discord Account

Steps to Take if Your Discord Account Has Unrecognized Charges

First, check if the charge appears on any of your Discord accounts (including any alternate accounts) before contacting our support team about an unrecognized payment. This step ensures we can take appropriate account-level actions that match your situation.

If you can't find the charge on your Discord account(s), this may indicate that your payment method (credit card, PayPal, CashApp, etc.) was used without your permission.

Important: Please contact our billing team before filing a dispute with your bank. Filing a dispute or refund request directly with your bank for any Discord transactions may result in account suspension pending further investigation. For more information, please review our Chargeback FAQ.

How to Report Unrecognized Charges that Appear on Your Discord Account

To report unrecognized charges on your Discord account, follow the steps that match your situation:

Discord Account with Access to Email Address

If you've confirmed the unrecognized charges are from your Discord account and you have access to the email address associated with the account, follow these steps to report them:

1. Submit a ticket using our support form

2. Select "I do not recognize a charge on my Discord account" under the Type of Issue category

3. Select "Yes" when asked if you're using the email address linked to your Discord account

Discord Account without Access to Email Address

If you do not have access to the email address associated with your Discord account, please take the following steps:

1. Submit a ticket using our support form

2. Select "I do not recognize a charge on my Discord account" under the Type of Issue category

3. Select "No" when asked if you're using the email address linked to your Discord account

4. Select "No" again when asked if you can submit a ticket from your Discord account's email

Possible Hacked Account with Email Change

If you believe your Discord account has been hacked/compromised and someone has changed your email tied to the account:

1. Submit a ticket using our support form

2. Choose "Hacked Account" from the What can we help you with? drop-down menu

3. Enter your email address

4. Enter the username and email address originally associated with the Discord account before the account was compromised. (Please also include the UserID associated with the Discord account if possible)

5. Select the reason for how you believe the account was compromised from the dropdown menu

4. Select “Yes” when asked if your email associated with the Discord account was changed

This will forward your request to the team that is best equipped to help with account recovery.

Additional Payment Details to Include in Your Support Request

To help us resolve your case quickly, please provide:

  • Transaction date and amount
  • Payment method (credit card, PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, etc.)
  • Payment identifier (last 4 digits of credit card, PayPal invoice ID, $Cashtag, Venmo User ID, etc.)
  • Screenshots of the Discord charges on your bank statement
